What a great weekend I just had! On Saturday I met a friend for brunch at Café Bullfrog at Manly. It’s Brisbane’s only over water cafe out along William Gunn Jetty alongside Manly Boat Harbour. A Wynnum-Manly Visitor Information Centre will soon be relocating to the space adjacent to Café Bullfrog. This is the first step in establishing the Moreton Bay Discovery Centre which will showcase Moreton Bay’s flora and fauna and natural and social history. After brunch, we had a quick stroll around the Jan Power Farmers Markets which were starting to pack up! I bought a bunch of five (5) Gerbera’s for $5 which became fodder for some photography practice. Here’s a couple of photo’s I took on Saturday afternoon.
On Sunday, MrMM and I went to check out a new local Bunnings that has opened up. I was particularly interested in the Garden Centre as I’ve been missing Hawkins (a nursery at a nearby suburb of Chandler that closed down) and was pleasantly surprised. Here is a phone snap of a portion of the garden centre that I posted to Instagram.
I must admit that I did buy a few new pretties for the garden, including these lovely Fuchsia’s that are freshly potted and watered! ;-)
After an afternoon spent in the garden, I came indoors, cleaned up and cooked a lovely roast pork for dinner.
